It is always a privilege to march in the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day and Whitestone Memorial Day Parades and convene as a community to honor those who gave all in service to our country. Thank you to all the parade organizers and volunteers.

As we observe Memorial Day today with our loved ones, let us set aside time to remember those brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The Student Council at P.S. 169 - Bay Terrace School is partnering with Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) to host an animal adoption event in on Saturday, May 30. Please see the student-made posters below for more information and help spread the word.

The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church - Flushing, NY hosted another outstanding Annual Festival. My family and I look forward to attending every year and enjoying the food and entertainment. Thank you to the volunteers who make this local celebration of Greek culture happen.

The J-51 and SCRIE, DRIE, SCHE, and DHE programs are important initiatives that help provide critical financial relief to middle-class homeowners and renters. I stood with Senator Brian Kavanagh, stakeholders and colleagues in pushing for the expansion and renewal of these programs.

Nurses bring comfort, care and healing to our communities every day. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Indian Nurses Association of New York's (INANY) National Nurses Week celebration and to present the organization with a NYS Citation of Merit.

Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC) is celebrating 50 years of excellence in education, preservation and advocacy. In recognition of this milestone, my Chief of Staff Suzy Monteverdi presented APEC's leadership with an official NYS Assembly Proclamation at their annual Gala.

In partnership with Council Member Linda Lee and others, my office is co-sponsoring a Spring Health Fair on Saturday, May 30th, from 12-3PM at Alley Pond Park. In addition to health checks, many state/city agencies and health organizations will be present. Please see the flyer below and share.
