If the referendum is approved, the District would be allowed to permanently exceed its state-imposed revenue limits, sustaining annual funding that will not expire. This would enable the District to maintain instructional programs, class sizes and school services.

Recently, our 5th graders had a field trip to Schlitz to learn about geocaching. In small groups, the students used a GPS unit to find various spots on the property. It was a beautiful fall day to be wandering outside. Thank you to the many parent volunteers who helped out!

Today, we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a time to honor the histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities.

Across our schools, we value opportunities for students to learn about the diverse histories and perspectives that have shaped our communities, our state, and our country.

We’re proud to celebrate the people, stories, and traditions that continue to enrich our communities today.

If the Nov. 3 replacement referendum is rejected, the current operational referendum amount of $3.1 million will expire after the 2026-27 school year, and the District will be unable to replace this annual funding without making significant and long-lasting reductions to the budget, an estimated 19.5%.

These cuts would impact educational opportunities for
students. Learn more about what each outcome could mean for Fox Point-Bayside: www.foxbay.org/referendum

Next week is National School Lunch Week!

This year’s theme, “Cafeteria Circus: Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!”, is a fun way to celebrate school lunches, engage students, and recognize the incredible feats our teams perform every day.

To support the theme, all students who eat with us at at Bayside will get a Confetti cookie with their lunch on Wednesday, 10/14!
