Growing a fire-safe future. 🧯

Fire Prevention Week at Beale was more than fire engines and gear demos. It brought the community together around a shared commitment to safety and preparedness.

Beale’s location among Northern California’s dry grasslands makes wildfire prevention a key part of protecting the installation and surrounding community. Throughout the week, 9th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters took proactive steps to help keep the community safe and serve as responsible stewards of the installation.

The team kicked off the week with a parade and continued the conversation through a muster challenge and fire-safety resources at the BX. They closed out the week by welcoming Lone Tree Elementary School students to the fire station for hands-on lessons in prevention and preparedness.

Together, these efforts help safeguard Airmen, families, resources and the mission through fire prevention and informed action.

Public Affairs requests are moving to P3! 📢

Effective Oct. 8, all Public Affairs support requests must be submitted through the Public Affairs Productivity Portal (P3), streamlining how Airmen request and manage PA support.

Our current photo studio booking portal, Setmore, will be phased out, and beginning Oct. 29, all photo studio appointments must be scheduled through P3.

Planning to request PA support? Check out the guide below for step-by-step instructions, and remember to submit your requests at least two weeks in advance!

🔥 Prevent today. Protect tomorrow.

The 9th Reconnaissance Wing kicked off this year's Fire Prevention Week with the signing of the proclamation, followed by an emergency vehicle parade throughout base housing. Following that, Airmen put their skills to the test during a challenging muster, showcasing teamwork, strength, and readiness.

The Fire Prevention campaign's goal is to teach service members and their families critical fire safety measures and to promote public awareness and to reduce the risk of home fires across the community.

One call = one safe ride home.

When your ride plans fall through, Beale Airmen Against Drunk Driving (B.A.A.D.D.) provides a no-cost transportation option for members of the Beale community.

Every Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., B.A.A.D.D. volunteers answer calls, coordinate rides and help Airmen get home safely. Taking care of our people starts with making sure they have a safe way home.

50 Years in the Making ✈️

Fifty years after walking the halls of Wheatland High School, members of the Class of 1976 returned to Beale, where many grew up while their military parents served during the legendary SR-71 Blackbird era.

Their visit included a tour of Beale and the annual SR-71 static wash ceremony, reconnecting them with the mission and people that shaped their childhoods. The celebration continued at Wheatland High School’s Salute 2 Service football game, where 9 RW commanders Col. Cameron and Col. Typolt performed a flyover to honor our long history with the Wheatland community.

Beale is proud to welcome home those who helped shape our history while continuing our strong local partnerships. 🤝

Taking ownership of Recce Town 💪

Airmen across Beale came together for Beale Ownership Day, taking time to clean, restore and improve spaces throughout the installation.

More than a base-wide cleanup, the effort is about taking pride in the places we work, live and serve. By taking responsibility for our shared spaces, Airmen help build an installation that reflects the professionalism and pride of the people who call Beale home.

Beale Ownership Day was held in conjunction with National Public Lands Day, bringing units together across the installation to make a visible difference in their areas of responsibility.
