To EVERYONE,

I’m going to use this platform to hopefully reach as many as people as possible to ask for some cooperation.

Harvest is in full swing and being it is an essential time of year for our farmers and our community, I’m asking for some help from everyone to make it a safe and successful one!

With the grain lines that can grow long at times I have had some concerns pointed out to me and we all need to work together to get everyone where they need to be safely.

ALL traffic going thru town please slow down and pay attention for turning trucks, parked trucks and pedestrians. The road is narrowed up with trucks on the side and I’m hopeful of not having a gawker slow down or crash.

For trucks on the highway please be mindful to be off the roadway as best as you can and not parked in front of road and driveway accesses if possible. Please USE turn signals and LOOK for traffic when turning.

If everyone can be attentive and at their best we will have no worries of having a potential accident.

Please share this as much as possible to be able to reach as many as possible to be able to all work together and be SAFE!

Thanks
Chief Slim

(I also have trucks in the line so I am part of the problem 😬)

All the planning and work to pull it off has come and gone and the Beardsley Fire and First Responders would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that came to town to enjoy the day and support us!It was a little hectic at times from keeping up cooking, making sure everyone got a good BINGO, enjoying some excellent entertainment and fireworks display and also getting an active 911 call during the parade to tend to. We are hopeful we gave everybody the best experience you could have for a somewhat warm and steamy Beardsley Days 2026.

A little bit behind on this one because it’s almost here already, so please prepare yourselves for it to get a little bumpy here. Tuesday 7-7-26 10:05 PM

A line of severe thunderstorms with potential for bowing segments is currently tracking east across parts of northeast SD at 40 mph. Be prepared for frequent lightning, wind gusts up to 60-75 mph and heavy rain that could lead to flooding. Also, tornadoes will be possible with this storm. If you are in the path or general vicinity of this storm, seek shelter immediately!
