A simple donation can provide comfort during a difficult time. 💜

Our shelter is currently accepting personal care items for men, women, and children. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, and other hygiene essentials help survivors focus on healing instead of worrying about basic necessities.

Every item donated makes a difference.

Family violence doesn't end until abusive behaviors are recognized, addressed, and changed. Family Services of Southeast Texas offers a Texas-accredited Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) designed to help participants understand the impact of their actions and develop nonviolent relationship skills.

Our goal is simple: safer families, safer homes, and safer communities.

Talking about mental health is a sign of strength, not weakness. During PTSD Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to help create a safe space where honest conversations can happen.

💬 Tip for starting a conversation: Try saying, "I've been having a tough time lately and could use someone to talk to." A simple, honest statement can open the door.

👂 Tip for being a good listener: Listen without trying to "fix" the problem. Sometimes the best support is simply being present and letting someone share their experience.

Together, we can reduce stigma and remind people they don't have to face PTSD or mental health challenges alone. Find more resources at www.ptsd.va.gov
