If you received a damaged ballot in the mail, do not panic. State guidance provides four clear pathways to ensure your vote is safely counted in the upcoming election.

Replace it from home: Fill out a new Application for Ballot by Mail, write "I wish to cancel my previous ballot by mail," sign it in ink, and submit it so it is received by Friday, October 23.

Vote in person: Bring your damaged ballot to any early voting location through October 30—or to your Election Day polling place—surrender it, and vote a regular ballot.

Mark and return it: If your full choices are still clear, mark the ballot and mail it back. The county is required to count damaged ballots when voter intent is clear. Request a replacement: Contact the County Clerk's office directly to ask for a corrected ballot to be mailed to you.
