Last week, REDI had the opportunity to meet at the Port Arthur International Seafarers' Center, hosted by the Port of Port Arthur.

The Seafarer’s Center serves as an important reminder that economic development is not just about infrastructure and investment — it’s also about people. From port activity to workforce support services, every component plays a role in strengthening Southeast Texas’ economic ecosystem.

We appreciate the Port of Port Arthur for hosting our Regional Economic Development Initiative meeting and for their continued leadership in advancing regional collaboration and global commerce.

Today we celebrate and the incredible impact our Lamar State College-Port Arthur SBDC and Lamar University Small Business Development Center have on entrepreneurs in our community. From start-up guidance to growth strategies, the SBDCs provides no-cost, expert advising that helps businesses start, grow, and succeed. We’re proud to partner in supporting small business success!
