Don’t Let a Leak Haunt Your Water Bill!
A hidden leak can be a scary surprise on your water bill. Even a small leak can waste water and add up over time.

Take a few minutes to check around your home for signs of leaks, including toilets, faucets, irrigation systems, and other outdoor water use. Finding and fixing leaks early can help prevent unexpected water use while conserving one of our most valuable resources.

A little detective work now can help keep those frightening surprises away!

Thank you to the customers and community members who have been keeping an eye out and reporting suspicious activity around BCVWD fire hydrants.

Community awareness is an important part of helping the District protect its water system. When suspicious activity is reported, it gives BCVWD an opportunity to respond, investigate the situation, check for damage, and take appropriate action.

Your reports can help us reduce water loss, protect District infrastructure, and discourage future unauthorized hydrant use.

If you see suspicious activity around a BCVWD hydrant, don't approach or confront anyone.

Suspicious non-emergency activity: call Beaumont Police Department — (951) 769-8500
Missing, damaged, or other water emergency: call BCVWD — (951) 845-9581, Option 9

Your water bill doesn’t have to be scary!

Understanding how you use water is one of the best ways to manage your water bill. Checking for leaks, using water efficiently, and being mindful of outdoor watering can all help keep your water use, and your bill, in a good place.

If something on your bill looks unusual, take a closer look. Changes in water use can sometimes be an early sign of a leak or a change in your household's water-use habits.

No tricks here, just another reason to keep an eye on your water use!

Visit https://bcvwd.gov for conservation tips, water-use resources, and more information to help you understand and manage your water service.

As temperatures begin to change, October is a good time for customers to take a look at their water use and outdoor watering schedule.

Summer typically brings increased outdoor water use, but sprinkler timers don't automatically know when the seasons change. A watering schedule that made sense during hotter summer weather may use more water than needed as temperatures cool.

Customers can take a few simple steps to better understand their water use:
• Compare current water use with previous billing periods.
• Check sprinkler timers and adjust watering times as weather conditions change.
• Look for broken sprinkler heads, overspray, or signs of leaks.
• Pay attention to unexpected increases in water use that may indicate something has changed around the property.
Taking a few minutes to review water use and irrigation settings can help customers identify changes early, use water efficiently, and better understand their water bill.

At BCVWD, we encourage customers to stay informed about their water use throughout the year. Small seasonal adjustments can add up to meaningful water savings.

Earlier this year, Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District was proud to once again be certified as a Great Place to Work, based on feedback provided directly by District employees through the Great Place to Work employee survey.

The District's Human Resources Division recently presented the results of that survey, along with the District's Great Place to Work recognition, to the BCVWD Board of Directors.

While the designation is something to celebrate, the employee feedback behind it is equally important. The survey provides insight into employees' experiences working at BCVWD and gives the District an opportunity to recognize what is working well while continuing to identify areas where the organization can improve.

Creating a positive workplace is about more than receiving an award. BCVWD believes that investing in employees, encouraging communication, providing opportunities for professional growth, and building a workplace where employees feel connected to the work they do all contribute to a stronger organization, and ultimately, a stronger organization is better positioned to serve its customers and community.

“Our employees are at the heart of the service BCVWD provides to our community every day,” stated BCVWD Board Member Daniel Slawson. “This recognition reflects the workplace our employees have helped build, but just as importantly, their feedback gives us an opportunity to continue learning and improving as an organization.”

BCVWD appreciates the employees who participated in the survey and shared their feedback. The District will continue using that input to support its employees, strengthen the organization, and build on the workplace culture that earned this recognition.

Congratulations and thank you to the entire BCVWD team for the work you do every day to serve our community.

When water is illegally taken from a fire hydrant, the cost doesn't simply disappear.

Stolen water, damaged hydrants, staff time, repairs, and other response costs ultimately affect the District, and those costs are supported by our customers.

Protecting our hydrants helps protect both our water system and our customers' dollars.

If you see suspicious activity around a BCVWD hydrant, don't approach or confront anyone.

Keeping current contact information on your BCVWD account is an important part of managing your water service.

Why does it matter? Accurate contact information helps the District communicate with customers when important account or service information needs to be shared.

In the event of an emergency or other urgent situation affecting water service, having accurate contact information can be especially important in helping the District reach customers quickly.

Moved recently? Changed your phone number? Using a new email address? October is a great time for a quick account checkup.

Customers who need to update their account information or have questions can contact BCVWD at (951) 845-9581 or email us at [email protected].

Keeping your information current is a small step that helps BCVWD stay connected with the customers we serve.
