Yesterday was a day of creating memories and stronger bonds within our department. Members of our department traveled to BC3 and participated in a structure burn class, sharpening the skills, communication, and teamwork within our department.
Training like this is demanding. It pushes us physically and mentally, reinforces the fundamentals, and, most importantly, builds trust in the firefighters standing beside us.
But a strong fire department isn't built on the training ground alone.
After putting in the work yesterday, we traded in the turnout gear for some food and fellowship at our department picnic. This was a chance for our members and families to relax, laugh, spend time together, and continue building the camaraderie that makes this department a family.
Because when the call comes, we're not just relying on equipment and training, we're relying on each other.
Thank you to Chief Mike Mamone III and his crew he brought with him that helped make the burn exercises successful as well as to all of our members who continue to dedicate their time to training, serving, and making our department stronger.
