Barbie Minor, Director, THPRD

Pride Beaverton felt different this year, as so many in the Q***r community carry the weight of this moment. Some of my most cherished humans are under attack. The hateful rhetoric and policy reversals aimed at our Trans and Non-Binary community demands all hands on deck.

For me, this isn’t about rainbow-washing, photo-ops, and pandering. This is about my niece, my nibling, my best friend, and so many who are actively being harmed and need elected leaders who will have the courage to fight.

Thank you to and the City of Beaverton’s former first openly non-binary Chief of Staff to the Mayor for joining me in the parade!

And of course special shout out to staff for your amazing parade support! Yal are the best of the best!!!

We understand that not everyone has the same financial resources to access recreational opportunities. That's why we're proud to offer our Financial Aid program at THPRD. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our district has the chance to participate in our programs and activities, regardless of their financial situation. If you or someone you know could benefit from from this program, please visit or share our website for details and the application process: https://thprd.info/3ySwYaS
