A huge thank you to Cathy Moore from ACT for visiting Park Middle School . Thank you for sharing information with our 7th and 8th graders about the exciting programs available to them in high school. Her visit visit was a great way to celebrate College Application and Exploration Month and to help our Roadrunners start thinking about their futures.

A Closer Look at Science in Ms. Austin’s Class! 🔍

Our 6th grade scientists recently wrapped up their microscope unit, and they discovered a whole new world hiding in plain sight!

Students learned the parts of a microscope, how to use it properly, and how to care for this important scientific tool. Then came the exciting part—putting their new skills to work!

From lamprey cells and pumpkin stems to onion cells and crab larvae, students explored fascinating specimens up close, discovering incredible details that can't be seen with the naked eye!

These hands-on experiences spark curiosity, strengthen observation skills, and help students see the amazing science all around them.

💚🖤 Way to go, Ms. Austin’s 6th grade Roadrunner scientists!

Twice the Fun, Twice the Memories!

Friday was Twin Day at Park Middle School, and our Roadrunners showed up in matching style!

But Spirit Days are about so much more than dressing alike. They're about laughter in the hallways, friendships that grow stronger, a sense of belonging, and the little moments that become memories to last a lifetime.

That's what makes our Park community so special. We're not just building school spirit because we're building connections, friendships, and memories that our students will carry long after they leave our halls.

Once a Roadrunner, Always a Roadrunner!

Real-life lessons add up!!!

Our 8th graders got to participate in the WV State Treasurer's Office Get A Life Program today! This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to learn valuable financial skills and get a glimpse of the real-world decisions they'll face in the future. A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing volunteers from the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and to Katlyn Hostein from the WV Treasurer's Office for sharing the time, knowledge, and support to make today possible. Experiences like these help prepare our students for life beyond the classroom, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
