Now that all the synthetic liners have been installed, RCSWA employees have been working on fusing together the HDPE Leachate Collection Lines. As you can see in the video 6 inch HDPE pipes are placed in certain locations on the liner. These pipes are connected to existing pipes that are a direct path to our Leachate Tanks.

Also you see the start of the protective cover stone. This stone aids in protecting the liner from puncture once the waste is being placed in the landfill as well as being a drainage feature for the Leachate Collection System. RCSWA employees must place 18 inches of 3/4 inch sandstone over the liner area. This will take approximately 32,500 tons of stone.
