🚨 THINK YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED? ACT QUICKLY β€” AND DON'T BE EMBARRASSED!

Scams can happen to anyone. If you've been targeted, taking the right steps quickly may help limit the damage.

πŸ›‘οΈ Here's what to do:
1️⃣ Contact your bank or payment provider. Report the transaction and ask whether it can be stopped, reversed, or disputed.
2️⃣ Secure your accounts. Change compromised passwords from a trusted device, starting with your email. Enable multifactor authentication.
3️⃣ Protect your devices. If you gave someone remote access, disconnect the device from the internet and seek trusted technical assistance.
4️⃣ Preserve evidence. Keep messages, emails, receipts, transaction records, phone numbers, and screenshots.
5️⃣ Report the scam. Use the FTC, FBI, and Kentucky Attorney General resources listed in our campaign.
6️⃣ Watch for follow-up scams. Criminals may target victims again by promising to recover lost money.
⚠️ Getting money back isn't guaranteed, but quick action can make a difference.

You are not alone, and reporting the crime may help protect someone else.

πŸ•΅οΈ SCAM-BAITING MAY LOOK EASY ON YOUTUBE. REAL LIFE IS DIFFERENT!

Online creators such as Pierogi expose scam tactics through videos and investigations. But ordinary users should be cautious about trying to confront scammers themselves.

Criminals may use malicious links, fake tech-support tools, stolen identities, social engineering, or threats to retaliate against people who challenge them.
If you suspect a scam:
βœ… Stop communicating.
βœ… Don't click links or download files they send.
βœ… Don't give them remote access to your device.
βœ… Save relevant messages, phone numbers, receipts, and screenshots.
βœ… Report the incident to the proper authorities.

You don't have to confront a criminal to help stop a scam. Reporting suspicious activity can help investigators identify patterns and protect other people.

Be smart. Stay safe. Let the proper authorities handle the investigation.

🚨 WARNING: SCAM RECOVERY SCAMS ARE REAL!

Imagine losing money to a scammer. Then someone contacts you claiming they can recover your money for a fee.

They may pretend to be a government investigator, lawyer, recovery specialist, or even someone associated with a well-known anti-scam creator.
This may be another scam.

The official Scammer Payback website warns that its name and identity are impersonated by accounts that approach people who have already lost money and promise to get it back.

Protect yourself:
πŸ›‘ Never pay an unsolicited person an upfront fee to recover lost funds.
πŸ›‘ Don't give strangers access to your bank account or computer.
πŸ›‘ Don't share passwords, recovery codes, or identity documents with unverified contacts.
πŸ›‘ Verify any organization through independently located official channels.

Remember: Scammer Payback does not offer to recover victims' money through unsolicited direct messages. Be suspicious of anyone claiming otherwise.

πŸŽ₯ LET'S TALK ABOUT SCAMMERS β€” AND THE PEOPLE EXPOSING THEM!

Have you ever watched a video where someone turns the tables on a phone scammer?
Meet Pierogi, the creator behind the YouTube channel Scammer Payback.
Pierogi is known for scam-baiting content that exposes common fraud tactics and helps educate viewers about how scammers operate. His videos often show how criminals try to manipulate victims into handing over their money or personal information.

These videos can be entertaining, but they also offer an important lesson: scammers rely on deception, pressure, and trust to make money.

πŸ“Ί You can find the official channel here: https://www.youtube.com/

Remember: Watch to learn, not to imitate. Engaging with scammers can put your information, accounts, or devices at risk.

πŸ›’ THAT AMAZING ONLINE DEAL MAY BE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

Fake online stores and fraudulent social media listings can leave you without your money β€” and without the product you ordered.

Before buying:
βœ… Research the seller and look for independent reviews.
βœ… Check the website address carefully for misspellings or suspicious domains.
βœ… Be cautious of prices far below normal retail value.
βœ… Read return and refund policies.
βœ… Whenever possible, use a payment method with meaningful dispute protections.
βœ… Avoid sellers who demand gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers.
A professional-looking website, online advertisement, or social media profile does not guarantee that a seller is legitimate.
If you believe you have been scammed, contact your payment provider promptly and report the incident.

Patchy Dense River Fog Expected Thursday Morning...

River valley fog is expected to form through the overnight lasting through Thursday morning. With clear skies and calm winds, valley fog will become dense in localized areas. Additional patchy fog may develop outside of these valleys as well.

If traveling through river valleys and low-lying areas in the morning, increase the following distance and use low-beam headlights. Be sure to drive slower through dense fog and leave early to allow extra time to get to your destination.

πŸ’³ HOW SOMEONE ASKS YOU TO PAY CAN REVEAL A SCAM!

Someone you don't know contacts you and says you must pay a fee, fix a problem, or avoid arrest.

Then they insist you pay with:
🎁 Gift cards
β‚Ώ Cryptocurrency
πŸ’Έ Wire transfers
πŸ“² Payment apps or other hard-to-reverse methods
🚩 STOP! These are major warning signs of fraud.

Gift cards are for gifts, not government fines. Cryptocurrency is not a way to verify your identity. No legitimate government official will ask you to transfer your money to a stranger to keep it safe.
If you have already sent money, contact the bank, payment service, gift card company, or cryptocurrency platform immediately. Ask whether the transaction can be stopped or recovered.
Recovery isn't guaranteed, but acting quickly may help.
