Providing help for those with autism - and hope for their families. NLG was founded in 2002 to offer a different life trajectory for individuals with Autism.

Today NLG's School provides outstanding, individualized education, training, and intervention services for students aged 3 to 22 with Autism spectrum disorders. NLG's rapidly growing Adult Program opened in 2013, providing ongoing support to adults with Autism.

Nashoba Learning Group was thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the new HomeGoods in Bedford!

We are incredibly grateful to The TJX Companies for their generous $10,000 donation to support our members’ vocational training at The Giving Closet, NLG’s thrift shop in the same plaza.

The Giving Closet provides meaningful opportunities for our adult members to develop valuable job skills, gain hands-on experience, and build greater independence in a welcoming community setting.

🎓💙 Congratulations to NLG’s newest graduate! 🎉

Throughout his time at NLG, he has brought countless smiles, laughter, and so much positive energy to everyone around him! His joyful spirit has left a lasting impression on our Day School community, and he will certainly be missed!

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to his wonderful family, who have been incredible supporters of NLG, including hosting the special Fishing with a Mission fundraising event. Their generosity and dedication to our mission mean so much to us!

While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to his Day School years, we couldn't be more excited to watch him continue to learn, grow, and thrive in NLG's Adult Program!

🗣️💬 October is Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month!

Our Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) team works every day to help NLG students communicate, connect, participate, and share their wants, needs, preferences, and ideas.

AAC can look different for every student—from gestures, pictures, and signs to speech-generating devices and apps like TouchChat, LAMP, and TD Snap.

Our SLP team shares three important AAC tips:

📱 ACCESS: Keep AAC devices available and within reach. If they can’t access it, they can’t use it!

🗣️ MODEL: Use the student’s AAC system while you talk to show them how it can be used—without requiring them to repeat you.

🎈 ENGAGE: Build AAC into meaningful, everyday activities. Follow their interests, join in, and create opportunities to communicate.

Every student deserves a way to be heard. 💙

On our September half day, our team came together to learn, practice, and strengthen their skills!

Our Therapists, Understudies, and Leads participated in training focused on strengthening their Behavioral Skills Training (BST) knowledge and skills, while our BCBAs had the opportunity to attend a Supervision CE. Staff also participated in trainings on Skills-Based Treatment (SBT), Evidence-Based Practice, and our clinic process.

We are so grateful for the incredible staff who continue to learn, train, lead, and grow—all while bringing compassion and dedication to our students and our mission every day. Thank you for everything you do! 💙

One Year of The Giving Closet! 👕💙

Today marks the first anniversary of the official opening of The Giving Closet at NLG’s Expansion Site!

For the past year, The Giving Closet has provided a welcoming space where NLG Members can practice meaningful life skills that support greater independence in their everyday lives.

What started as an exciting addition to our Expansion Site has become another special part of the opportunities available to our Members. We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring The Giving Closet to life—and to those who continue to support it through donations and involvement.
