The final aspect of the 2026 KCAM trip focused on the return journey home. An Uber driver named Leo got us to the Anchorage airport. From there we flew to Seattle, then Detroit, and then finally back to Pittsburgh. (We do ask that you please pray for a family who experienced a tragedy in the Seattle airport during our layover there.)

Here is the Gregorio KCAM radio spot that aired today (10/20/26). In this episode, Gregorio marveled at the delectable lunch menu at the Glenallen schools; he reminisced about his time with Pastor Roland in the KCAM studio last week; he gave a shout out to various individuals that he met as a result of his recent trip up north; he commented on some customs that he found to be unusual; and he wrapped up with some suggestions for the students to consider.

The return trip from Alaska back to Pennsylvania included some unplanned adventures…yet they were accompanied with reminders of God’s continued faithfulness. We thank Arctic Barnabas missionaries, Jason & Anita Maust, for giving us a special flight from Glenallen to Anchorage. (Jason even allowed Gregorio to “fly the plane” for a little bit to honor the request of a special little lady in Tennessee.) After a flat tire upon our landing, we had the bonus activity of an additional cardio workout. [Editor’s comment: although not pictured, it wasn’t just Miss April who helped to push the plane. Mr. Nate was pushing on the other wing. And yes, Anita was doing an important job with her placement during the effort to get the airplane to its “parking spot.”]

After some “mountain top and valley experiences” on the return trip home (which we plan to share with you in more detail at a later time), Miss April, Mr. Nate, and Gregorio made it safely back to Pennsylvania. We thank Jason and Anita Maust for making that safe return possible…and for giving Gregorio yet one more new experience which also fulfilled one special little lady’s request! (We plan to explore that more thoroughly via some videos at a later time, Lord willing!) In the meantime, enjoy the pictures that Miss April took which highlight the vastness of God’s amazing creation. [Gregorio is scheduled to go back on the air with Pastor Roland via phone call on Monday morning at 6:40am Alaska Time (10:40am Eastern Time).]

Originally Gregorio was only scheduled to do in-studio KCAM broadcast segments on Monday through Wednesday, but he went back in on Thursday for a live on-air interview with Pastor Roland. During that interaction he also gave a word of encouragement from Ezra 7:10. Miss April even made a pop-in to KCAM station to get an in-person look at the station. On Thursday (following a shorter time in the KCAM studio), Miss April, Mr. Nate, and Gregorio checked out some of the sights in the general Glenallen area. (A big thank you goes out to Pastor Roland for allowing us to borrow his vehicle for these excursions!) We were blessed by the folks that we met during this adventure, and we continued to be amazed by God’s amazing creation!

Pastor Roland graciously did a fourth interview segment with our team today, but this time, rather than interviewing Mr. Nate, his interview was with Gregorio! (We share that interview with you here. We also appreciate your prayers for Miss April, Mr. Nate, and Gregorio as they get ready to make their way back to Pennsylvania.)

With the creation of the Gregorio’s Storios broadcast segments at the beginning of this year, one of the things that was intentionally included specifically for the radio spots is the “weekly dad joke.” Pastor Roland’s signature groan adds the exclamation point to this particular feature. Wednesday marked the third day of in-studio broadcasting at KCAM for Gregorio and Mr. Nate. Toward the middle of this shift, Mr. Nate joined Pastor Roland for a Bible study at the Caribou Grill. (Brian led a discussion on the book of Jude after reading that one-chapter book in its entirety.) After returning to the radio station, Gregorio caught up with Kennedy and Savannah at the Copper River EMS office (which shares a building with KCAM). After the broadcast day was completed, Pastor Roland gave a quick preview of the airport on the outskirts of Glenallen.

Pastor Roland graciously did a third interview segment with Mr. Nate during today’s morning KCAM broadcast. This interview began with a shout-out to some folks who have been faithfully listening to these special edition broadcasts online (listen.kcam.org) throughout the week; it continued by discussing various locations where KnightLights programs have taken place; and it concluded with a spiritual challenge for the audience to ponder.
