For 33 years, from 1965 to 1998, Lee Hamilton represented Indiana’s 9th Congressional District with integrity. He often spoke about striving to do the right thing and reminded us that government works best when public officials take their responsibility to the people seriously. Brad Meyer takes that same principle to heart.

Brad believes Congress must hold the Executive Branch accountable. That means protecting Congress’s constitutional authority over war, ensuring the law is applied equally to everyone, demanding proper fiscal oversight, and making sure public funds approved by Congress cannot simply be delayed or redirected. Government should serve the people, not operate without meaningful accountability.

Brad brings that commitment to integrity from his career as an engineer, where transparency, accuracy, and responsibility were part of the job every day. As your representative for Indiana’s 9th District, Brad will work to restore ethics, integrity, and accountability in Congress. It is time to expect more from our government and the people who represent us.

We are grateful to the Indiana Indiana Young Democrats for their endorsement and engagement. We are ready for the opportunity to represent and fight for them in Congress.

Working a full time job should mean you can afford the essentials.

But for too many Hoosiers, that is no longer the reality. Grocery prices are high, first homes are out of reach, wages have not kept up with inflation, and the cost of nearly everything continues to rise.

Times are tough for a reason. These problems are the result of policy decisions (or a lack of them) that make life harder for working people while politicians and big businesses continue to benefit. It is time for that to change.

When I get to Congress, I will fight for Medicare for All, a $20 minimum wage, construction of more affordable starter homes, and an end to the tariffs that are driving up costs for working families. Congress should work for us. That is their job and right now, they are failing Indiana.

It is time we put working people first.
