Fire prevention month is in full swing, and these past few weeks remind us why we love what we do.

Our favorite preschool neighbors stopped by to learn about fire safety, read a book, see where we “live,” and get to know us as friends. 🧑‍🚒

As the number of fire and ambulance calls continues to grow in our community, so do the challenges facing our fire district.

We want our residents to hear the facts firsthand, understand what our firefighters and paramedics are facing, and have a voice in planning for the future.

Join us for our final Pathway to Preparedness Community Workshop on November 5, from 6–8 p.m. at the Beecher High School gym.

Your input matters, and we hope to see you there!

What was the most surprising thing you learned at our first Pathway to Preparedness workshop?

For Beecher resident Valerie Lynch, it was the whole picture - the staffing challenges, the long hospital transport times, and the other struggles we are facing.
Hear what your neighbors are learning, then see the full picture for yourself at our final workshop, Nov. 5 (6–8 p.m. at the Beecher High School gym).

📣 HATS OFF TO THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE YEAR! 🏆

What an opportunity it was to be in attendance last night, as the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association recognized Chief Falaschetti for his dedication, hard work, and commitment to our Fire District, our members, and the community we proudly serve.

We couldn’t be more proud to have him as our Chief, and are grateful for the leadership and heart he brings to our organization every day.

Strong work!

Fire Prevention Week 2026 is underway!

🔋 Charge into Fire Safety 🔌

Charge safely:

⚡️Use manufacturer-approved charging equipment

⚡️Unplug devices when they’re fully charged

⚡️Never charge or use damaged batteries or devices

⚡️Keep charging devices on a hard, flat surface- never under a pillow, on a bed, or on a couch

⚡️Charge larger equipment outdoors (scooters, e-bikes, etc) with a clear exit

⚡️ Never ignore signs of a battery problem, such as excessive heat, swelling, leaking, or unusual odors

We rely more and more on battery-powered devices, it’s important to know how to use and charge them safely.

📣 If you’re looking for a night to “unplug,” be sure to visit our Annual Open House this Friday, 10/9! 🔥
