Bell Gardens voters will soon consider Measure BG on the upcoming ballot. This measure proposes a 0.25 percent local transactions and use tax, commonly known as a sales tax. The revenue would go into the City’s General Fund to support municipal services. This includes public safety, street repairs, park maintenance, and other general city operations. The tax would apply to retail sales and taxable services within the city. It is estimated to generate approximately $1.2 million annually. For more information visit bellgardens.org/MeasureBG
