Under RSMo 67.110, Missouri political subdivisions must present specific budget and assessed valuation data, hold a public hearing on proposed property tax rates, and fix their final ad valorem rates by September 1. (This is not a tax increase proposal)

Subject: Public Hearing and Ordinance Setting 2026 Tax Rate
Per RSMO 67.110

The Board is asked to consider the proposed item establishing the 2026 real estate and personal property tax levy for the Belle Fire Protection District. State Law requires that the tax rates be certified to the County Clerks by September 1. Due to the State time requirements, a first and final reading of the proposed item is requested.

Staff is recommending a motion to approve the 2026 tax rate of 0.2912

Again this is a state mandated formality and not an increase. The public is welcome to attend.

Today we had the annual water day at the school hope all the kids and staff enjoyed it we sure did. It’s fun for the kids but benefits us as well with pump operations training and also drivers training hours. We couldn’t pull this off without the help so thank you to Bland Fire District, Vichy Fire Department, and Owensville Fire Protection District for your outstanding help

Special thanks to the yayas for assisting with this on our first year. Thanks to Wendy butler for the delicious cupcakes and Heidi Krause for filling eggs at the school. A successful Easter Egg event.

Rain plans for the Easter Egg Hunt this morning

0-2 age group & cupcakes. Large pavilion
3-4 age group Bingo pavilion
5-7 age group the 4 H pavilion
8-10 age group the Livestock pavilion

A mixture of eggs to those that arrive.

Cupcakes will be under the large pavilion with the Easter Bunny- stop by for a treat and a photo.

Drawing for the prizes at 1030- get to your designated spot for a ticket for the drawing early

10 am Saturday- Rain or Shine bring the kids out and enjoy the celebration!
