Our High School and Satellite Divisions serve middle school and high school students from 14 partner school districts and offer more than 60 college and career training programs. Zoology students recently put their creativity and knowledge of animal biology to the test by inventing their own fictitious animals and bringing them to life with Play-Doh! As part of a hands-on learning activity, students designed unique creatures and applied the characteristics of animals studied in class to their creations. Students considered features such as body symmetry, movement, feeding strategies, habitats, and adaptations that would help their animals survive. The activity gave students an opportunity to combine scientific knowledge with creativity while demonstrating their understanding of animal characteristics and classification. Although the animals were imaginary, the science behind their designs was real! The project provided a fun, interactive way for students to explore zoology and show off their creativity.

Our Career Exploration programs are off and running, bringing hands-on career-tech education to elementary and middle school students across our district! Recently, spent time with the USV third graders for our Public Safety student-led program, took our Drone students to WLS for a flight activity in their new fieldhouse, and participated in the Hardin County Middle School Career Fair.

A special shoutout to our student Career Exploration Coaches who help lead these activities! Each week, our student-led programs and teacher-facilitated kits bring career exploration opportunities to our partner districts. Thank you to our partner districts for their continued support in helping students explore careers at an early age!

The Sloan Kitchen opens tomorrow! 🍝 Take the guesswork out of lunch and let our Culinary Arts students take care of it! This year, students voted on an Italian-inspired menu. The Sloan Kitchen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
