This summer, the firehouse received a 600 sq ft addition. The addition allowed the fire dept ample room to rearrange our equipment, and house the newly added hummer.

This project was made possible by a generous grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation that was obtained by Doane Sells through Belleville Community Empowerment. Skylar Tuxhorn spearheaded the construction with help from Heath Hoge, Tim Royer, Tyler Kasl, and Connor Sheetz.

We can't thank everyone enough for their volunteered time and sweat.

This could've been much worse. Farmers really saved the day. I don't know how many tractors with disks and water tenders were there, but they made all the difference. There were multiple fire departments called for mutual aid for Courtland fire. Their quick thinking and action also helped minimize the damage. Good job to everyone involved.

This was not a controlled burn that got away. The high winds stirred up embers from a controlled burn from a week or so ago.

We were able to purchase six new air masks to go along with our new air packs. These masks are $2000 a piece. We used gun raffle money and memorial donations to buy these. Thank you to everybody for your continued support.
