Last night, we were reminded just how many people it takes to bring a vision to life!
We welcomed friends and supporters to KSBH at The Farm for an evening of good food, conversation, and a chance to see what this community has helped make possible. For some, it was their very first time visiting since our big move, making the evening even more special.

We were celebrating how far we've come as an organization and community, but we were also looking ahead.

Through a special video and heartfelt remarks from Emily, we unveiled the new goals of our Capital Campaign, with plans to transform our pole barn into a multipurpose space, develop a coffee shop in the red barn, and create a gymnasium in another existing barn, with each space representing new opportunities for connection, experiential therapy, and meaningful progress for the individuals and families we serve.

We were especially honored by the Craig Range Foundation , whose belief in our mission was made even more meaningful with the announcement of a $15,000 donation toward this next phase. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and continued faith in what we're building.

Last night, we also announced the launch of new youth summer camps coming to KSBH at The Farm in Summer of 2027, in honor of Maddie Best and the MB Foundation -- a critical and cherished supporter of our organization.

And finally, we officially dedicated the farmhouse as The Canning House, in recognition of the incredible generosity of Jim and Julie Canning, without whose support KSBH at The Farm would not be possible.

To everyone who joined us and every person and organization that has given their time, resources, encouragement, or heart to this mission: thank you.

The Farm may be our home, but it belongs to a much bigger story. We simply can't wait to write the next chapter together. Stay tuned for more details on the next phase of our Capital Campaign, or see how you can support us by visiting https://karlasmithbehavioralhealth.org/capital-campaign/

Sometimes teenagers need an adult they can trust, and sometimes they need other teenagers who get it.

KSBH’s Adolescent Experiential Therapy and Therapeutic Processing Groups give teens a supportive environment to connect with peers, talk through challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and strengthen skills for communication and everyday life.

And they don’t have to spend the entire time sitting in a group room. Through activities and experiences, teens have opportunities to apply therapeutic tools in real time, helping them build confidence using those skills in situations they encounter in everyday life.

If you've noticed your teen struggling with stress, relationships, confidence, school, emotions, or simply finding their place, these groups may be worth exploring.

Enrollment is open now, and their first session is on us, with no obligation to continue. Contact our team to learn more about the groups, assessment process, and how to enroll your teen.

There is a particularly strange stretch of life where you're expected to start making very adult decisions while still figuring out who you are.

KSBH’s Young Adult Groups (ages 18-35) offer both Experiential Therapy and Therapeutic Processing, giving participants opportunities to not only learn skills, but practice them and consider challenges and solutions in real time.

Young adults can connect with peers who may be asking some of the same questions and experiencing some of the same struggles. Through open conversation and practical application, participants can develop coping and life skills while building greater confidence and independence.

We're enrolling now, and you're invited to experience your first session on us with no obligation to continue.

KSBH had the privilege of welcoming 22 bright and determined future leaders to The Farm this morning. Silver Creek Area CEO joined Emily to learn about our mission, operations, the motivation behind our move to The Farm and how nonprofits operate. It is inspiring to watch a group of young people who are motivated to accept the challenge that the CEO program offers. They are hungry to learn, and eager to make a difference. Thank you for inviting KSBH to be a part of your CEO experience. We welcome you back anytime!

At KSBH at The Farm, we’re creating more opportunities for people to learn, connect, practice, and grow through an individualized model of care that brings together clinical therapy, Therapeutic Processing Groups, Experiential Therapy Groups, practical skill-building, and hands-on therapeutic experiences.

A skill introduced in individual therapy can be explored through Therapeutic Processing alongside people navigating similar experiences. Through Experiential Therapy and hands-on therapeutic experiences, participants can also put what they’re learning into practice in meaningful, real-world ways.

As part of this expanded approach, KSBH is now enrolling participants in Therapeutic Groups created around different ages, experiences, and stages of life:

- Adults
- Adults 55+
- Young Adults
- Adolescents
- Women's and Men's Groups
- Cancer Support
- LGBTQAI+ Support

If you’re curious about Therapeutic Groups but aren’t sure whether they’re right for you, you’re invited to experience your first group session on us, with no obligation to continue.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing each group and sharing more about who it’s designed to support. Ready to find yours now? Contact KSBH to learn more about our programs and enrollment.

A therapy room can be more than four walls and two chairs.

At KSBH at The Farm, we wanted the environment itself to feel different: comfortable places to talk, room to gather, access to nature, and spaces where the skills introduced in therapy can become something you actually practice.

Sometimes progress happens during a conversation, sometimes it happens while doing something with your hands, and sometimes it happens when you finally have enough quiet to hear yourself think.

In just nine months, more than $850,000 in donated funds, goods, and services helped transform a vision for KSBH at The Farm into a place where people are receiving care today.

Companies donated their expertise, volunteers gave their time, donors invested in spaces they hadn't seen finished yet, and people showed up with tools, materials, resources, encouragement, and an incredible amount of trust.

Today, KSBH at The Farm is open, clients are receiving services, new programs are beginning, and our clinical team is growing. Spaces throughout our therapeutic wellness campus are being used to help people connect what they learn in therapy with experiences they can carry into everyday life.

We asked our community to help us build something different. Our community delivered, and we are incredibly proud to have delivered on that promise.

There is still more to do, more to build, and more people we want to serve. But before we take the next step forward, we want to recognize just how extraordinary this one has been.

To every donor, company, volunteer, partner, and friend who helped make it possible: thank you.
