We couldn't do this work without you. Through the funding delays and uncertainty coming out of LA County this year, it's been donors and church partners who kept our doors open and our programs running for families across Bellflower.

Every hygiene kit handed out, every family placed at Margaret's House, and every job created through Good Soil Industries traces back to someone who chose to give. If you've supported us before, thank you. If you're ready to join in, you can make a gift at kcbellflower.org/give or call our office at (562) 804-2189.

Let's take a moment to look back. Kingdom Causes Bellflower started in 1999 under the name Open Arms, formed by a small group of neighbors who believed Bellflower deserved more than any one church or person could offer alone.

That same spirit still shows up today, in our Community Resource Center, our housing programs, and Good Soil Industries. Join us as we look ahead to the next chapter by following along at kcbellflower.org/about.

We're celebrating more than 25 years of showing up for Bellflower. What began in 1999 as a small group determined to love this city has grown into a team helping neighbors find housing, build new careers, and stay connected to community.

We're proud of the journey, and even prouder of everyone who's walked it with us. Share a memory or a comment to celebrate with us, or catch more stories at kcbellflower.org this month.

Did you know your support can help a neighbor start a new life and build a whole new career? Good Soil Industries (GSI), our social enterprise landscaping company, provides lawn care across southeast LA, and along the way it's done a lot more than mow lawns.

GSI offers job training, life skills coaching, and family strengthening classes to help people facing employment barriers work their way toward stability. It's a quiet kind of transformation, one crew, one client, and one paycheck at a time. Follow along for more stories, or request a quote for your own yard at kcbellflower.org/about-gsi.

Every day matters at our Community Resource Center.

Monday through Thursday, our doors open at 9 a.m. so our neighbors can see a smiling face, receive a meal or hygiene kit, get help with an ID voucher, find needed resources, or use a computer to search for housing and work.

Most of all, we hope everyone who walks through our doors finds a place of peace and leaves with a greater sense of purpose and value than when they arrived.

It’s steady, often unglamorous work, but it adds up to lasting stability for individuals and families during uncertain seasons. If you’d like to help us keep these doors open, share this post, say a prayer for our neighbors, or make a gift at kcbellflower.org/give.

Strong partnerships make for stronger Neighborhoods. None of the work we do happens alone, and we're grateful this month for the churches, agencies, organizations, and neighbors who help families navigate hard days together.

Whether that means connecting someone to housing resources or helping a parent track down school supplies, collaboration is what makes lasting change possible. Tag a partner you appreciate in the comments, or reach out to our team to learn how you can join in: kcbellflower.org/contact

It's back-to-school season in Bellflower, and our team is already thinking about the families getting kids ready for a new year. Throughout the school year, we walk alongside neighbors through our Community Resource Center, offering everyday support like ID vouchers, hygiene kits, and a place to charge a phone or find a listening ear between case management appointments.

Follow along this month as we share more about the programs helping local families feel ready for what's ahead. Learn more at kcbellflower.org.

The work does not end with one announcement, and neither do the stories.

If you’ve visited our Community Center recently, there’s a good chance you’ve met Jessica.

Today, she’s one of the welcoming faces helping neighbors access resources, support, and encouragement. But before becoming a trusted volunteer and community leader at KCB, Jessica experienced homelessness, addiction, major health challenges, and years of feeling like she didn’t belong anywhere.

Now, she helps create the same sense of connection and care that once helped change her own life.

“Volunteering at KCB fills the void,” she shared. “I feel like a whole person. I’m connected.”

Stories like Jessica’s remind us why community matters, and why belonging can change everything.
