The Bellmawr Police Department is proud to participate in the DEA National Take Back Day. Anyone is welcome to come to the Bellmawr Police Department located at 21 Lewis Ave from 10am-2pm tomorrow to drop off any unneeded medications. There is a drop box at the front entrance, and for any larger drop offs you can see an officer at the station.

is a free event for communities nationwide to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications safely and anonymously. On Saturday, October 24, from 10am-2pm bring those old and unneeded medications to a collection site near you: www.DEATakeBack.com

The Bellmawr Police Department has received concerns regarding children riding motorized/electric bikes inside the gated area of the Recreation Center.

As a reminder, bicycles, motorized bikes, electric bikes, scooters, and other motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted inside the gated Recreation Center area, including on the walking track and on the fields.

The Recreation Center fields are intended for organized and recreational sports such as baseball, softball, football, and soccer. The track is intended for recreational exercise, including walking, jogging, and running.

With practices, games, families, and residents regularly using the facility, motorized bikes on the track and around the fields can create an unnecessary safety concern.

The Bellmawr Police Department is proud to congratulate Patrolman Pedro Jimenez and his K9 partner, Rico, on their graduation from the Atlantic County John “Sonny” Burke K9 Academy!

After months of hard work, long days, and countless hours of training, Patrolman Jimenez and K9 Rico are officially certified in Patrol Operations and Narcotics Detection.

This is a huge accomplishment for Patrolman Jimenez and Rico and an exciting milestone for the Bellmawr Police Department as we continue to grow our K9 Unit and the services we provide to our community.

We are extremely proud of the dedication Patrolman Jimenez has put into this program and look forward to seeing this team get to work serving and protecting the residents Bellmawr along with assisting our law enforcement partners throughout the area.

Welcome Back to School!

We want to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, and parents a great first day back and an awesome school year!

With everyone getting back into the school routine, please remember to give yourself a few extra minutes in the morning and keep an eye out for our kids. Slow down in school zones, watch for crossing guards, and remember to stop for school buses with their red lights flashing.

Most importantly — put the phones down and stay alert. Our kids might not always be watching for you, so let’s make sure we’re watching out for them!

We’ll be out and about tomorrow morning helping everyone get the school year started safely.

Bellmawr’s National Night Out was a huge success, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who came out and helped make the evening so special.

Thank you to our residents, local businesses, community organizations, vendors, first responders, volunteers, and everyone who contributed their time and support. Events like this would not be possible without the strong partnership between our police department and the community we serve.

It was great seeing so many families, friends, and neighbors enjoying the activities and spending time together!

Tonight's the Night – Bellmawr National Night Out!

We can't wait to see everyone tonight at Bellmawr National Night Out at the Bellmawr Municipal Complex, located at 21 Lewis Ave.

🚗 Parking Information:
To help traffic flow smoothly, please use the designated parking areas: Areas boxed off in green!
• Primary Parking: Rear of the Municipal Building, closest to Nicholas Avenue, behind the Bellmawr Library. The back gate off of Nicholas Ave. will be open.
• Additional Parking: Bellmawr Community Center, 35 E. Browning Road. Entrance off of E. Browning Rd., across from Carmens Deli.
• Parking is also available around the Bellmawr Library.

Please follow the directions of our officers and event staff as you arrive. Please be courteous to residents if you park on a side street, do not block driveways or park in any designated yellow painted curb areas.

Join us for an evening of community, fun, food, activities, and the opportunity to meet the first responders and organizations that proudly serve Bellmawr.

On Thursday, June 25th, 2026, in front of a packed court room full of family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers, Captain Keith Williams was sworn in as the 7th Chief of Police at the Bellmawr Police Department.

Chief Williams has dedicated over 25 years of service to the residents of Bellmawr. He started his career as a dispatcher then rose through the ranks as a Class II Special Officer, Patrolman, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and now Chief of Police.

Chief Williams exemplifies all the qualities of a Chief, a leader and a mentor.

Congratulations, Chief Williams!
