With Halloween fast approaching, Mrs. Berg's science classes learned about the fastest way to carve pumpkins. By making and trapping some hydrogen gas, you can quickly create a spark to turn your pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern (Do NOT try at home!).

After discussing the science behind the combustion reaction, students got to learn more about careers in biotechnology from scientist Mr. Berg.

It was a fun day combining some hands-on learning, real world science, and career exploration!

This game will be played in the High School Gymnasium.

Our 4th and 5th graders had such a fun-filled day at Schuster Farms in Deerfield on Wednesday! Students explored the corn maze, played in the fun park, fed goats, visited the animals, and enjoyed a hayride!

Of course, one of the highlights was picking out the perfect pumpkin! The only rule was that they had to be able to carry it themselves!

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, fun, and lots of fall memories!

Creativity, innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit were on full display Wednesday, October 21, as CESA 3 proudly hosted another outstanding 8th Annual Mini-Business World, sponsored by the Wisconsin Manufacturers Commerce (WMC) Foundation, its Wisconsin Business World program, and its generous business sponsors.

Students, in Mrs. Engelke's Introduction to Business class, were able to join other students from Black Hawk, Cuba City, Fennimore, Monticello,Platteville and River Ridge for an exciting, hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship, business development, and the essential skills necessary to succeed in Wisconsin's ever-changing economy.

A huge thank you to CESA3, Michelle and Shelby from Mini Business World, and the business sponsors for giving our students this opportunity.
