❤️‍🔥 Thank you to all who joined Cassidy, Kim and Zoe this evening at Ladies Night Out. They did an excellent job at empowering women in the first responder field. We sincerely appreciate MC EMS for allowing us to team up and share the table - a lot like we join forces on calls in the field.

🆘 Always know the Rescue Squad is available for dispatch where there is a need for extrication, rope safety, technical rescue, vehicle disentanglement, etc.

👩🏼‍🚒 Including women in these fields is obviously not how it has always been done. But these three have proved their commitment not only for the squad but for the public too. We hope it enhances community trust and brings diverse problem-solving perspectives to emergency response situations.

🧰 Out of 118 ladies who signed up to win our giveaways, congrats to Shannon Marie DePoy for winning the Rural Fire Districts #1 and #3 “Bonfire Bash” theme gift basket from Bath & Body Works and Ensley Jensen for winning the mini pink tool box and cart set donated by the Mitchell County Rescue Squad and lasered by fellow firefighter, Kyle.

K Road (Tipton Black Top) is closed from 250 RD to 280 RD. Please make other arrangements to go around this area if you need to travel in the area southwest of Beloit, preferably blacktops. Do not attempt to travel on dirt roads, your vehicle will be stuck there for many days and possibly ticketed as well.

This is a reminder to everyone that you could fall into a deep hole while traveling in the dark stormy nights, possibly storm chasing, looking into the dark skies not paying attention to the roadway in front of you. Best thing for everyone is to stay safely indoors and off the roads during hazardous weather conditions. Thank you and stay safe.

Cassidy and Kim will be present during this event representing women in our countys’ fire and rescue departments. They will be able to answer questions on how to keep your home more safe during your activities of daily living, such as reminding your spouse to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and where your partner should always be charging their lithium ion batteries for their tools.

”We can navigate a 50 pound jaw of life through the A-frame of a car, but don’t ask us to parallel park that Honda Civic… we’re just girls!”

Grab your boots, your best pink outfit, and your favorite girlfriends for a night filled with local vendors, health and wellness inspiration, delicious refreshments, giveaways, and plenty of cowgirl charm. Whether you're coming to shop, connect, relax, or simply enjoy a night out, there's something for everyone at this fun-filled community event.

☀️ Thank you, Lakeside Elementary, for inviting us to your first responder day!

👩🏼‍🏫 The students were so patient and well mannered and the teachers were equally excited to not be the ones teaching!

⛑️ We explained to the kids how Rescue is different from Fire, how air bags and cribbing can assist in rescuing cattle, what the the cutters and spreaders should and should NOT be used on, A B C and D pillars on a vehicle, rope rescue tools and the most asked question: what happens when the battery for a tool dies? (Don’t worry, we have plenty of back up batteries!)
