Thanks to Estefani Contreras, a junior at Beloit High, for designing and creating a Mitchell County Christmas ornament for the Governor’s Holiday Ornament Collection. She was inspired by the love story and legend of Waconda Springs!

She is entered to win a variety of awards, including the Governor’s Choice Award! Winning ornaments will be on the Capitol’s Christmas tree for the season!

Thank you to Estefani and her art teacher Catrina Wilson, for working hard and submitting an ornament for Mitchell County!
