Central Bell Fire & Rescue Providing world class emergency response to the Central Bell County district since 1961! The idea behind this was to better reflect the Communities we serve.

Founded in 1961 and operating as Nolanville Volunteer Fire department, our name was changed to Central Bell County Fire/Rescue in January 2010 to avoid confusion since we are a Non-Municipal Fire Department. We provide full spectrum Fire, Rescue and EMS services to the City of Nolanville and surrounding communities that make up our 20+ mile response area. We currently provide staff of 27 Firefighters, to include 4 EMT's. We provide 24 hour response by means of 3 shifts, just like career Departments. Our living quarters house 6 beds so we can maintain the staffing needed to accomplish this. We work closely with Harker Heights Fire/EMS, Belton Fire Department, Fort Hood Fire/EMS, and Sparta Volunteer Fire Department to provide the best Fire/Rescue/EMS services possible to our citizens. We cover several miles of US HWY 190, both Urban and Rural areas in Bell County, several miles of active railways, we also have several industrial plants, large businesses, multiple KISD schools, and many farms/ranches. Central Bell County currently operates 2 structural engines, a rescue vehicle, and a command vehicle. We are the busiest all volunteer department in the County, running more than 1700 calls last year. Central Bell County Fire/Rescue is compromised entirely of Professional Volunteers and we truly believe that "Professionalism is NOT based on a paycheck".

🚒🔥 TRAINING TODAY, PREPARED FOR TOMORROW!

Central Bell County Fire Rescue is proud to recognize six of our members for successfully completing three essential National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) wildland fire training courses with instructor support from the staff at Texas Public Safety Training Academy!
Over the course of their training, members completed:

🔥 S-130 – Firefighter Training: Developing the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to safely and effectively operate during wildland fire incidents.

🌲 S-190 – Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior: Understanding how weather, topography, and fuel conditions influence wildfire behavior and spread.

🚒 L-180 – Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service: Emphasizing leadership, situational awareness, communication, teamwork, and decision-making in challenging environments.

On October 9th, all six members participated in a culminating testing and hands-on skills day, putting their knowledge and training into practice.
With Central Texas experiencing a significant number of grass, brush, and wildland fires each year, maintaining a well-trained and capable workforce is essential to protecting our communities. These incidents can rapidly evolve, requiring firefighters to understand fire behavior, recognize changing conditions, and operate safely in demanding environments.

At CBCFR, we believe that preparation begins long before the emergency call comes in. Continued education, realistic training, and professional development are critical to ensuring our firefighters are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

Train Hard. Stay Ready. Serve Proudly.

🚒🇺🇸 Central Bell County Fire Rescue Celebrates National Night Out with Three Creeks! 🇺🇸🚒

Central Bell County Fire Rescue was proud to participate in this year's Three Creeks Community National Night Out!

Throughout the evening, our firefighters rotated between six different locations across the Three Creeks community, bringing Squad-51 and Tanker-55 to meet with residents, interact with families, and provide valuable fire prevention and safety education.

Community engagement is at the heart of what we do. Events like National Night Out are incredibly important to our department because they provide opportunities to strengthen relationships, build trust, and foster meaningful connections between our firefighters and the community we proudly serve.

While responding to emergencies is a critical part of our mission, we believe that building strong relationships with our neighbors before an emergency ever occurs is equally important.

We were also happy to see and spend time with Sheriff Bill Cook, Assistant Chief Perry Moose, and Public Information Officer Cliff Coleman from Bell County Sheriff's Office throughout the evening. We appreciate their continued involvement and commitment to connecting with the citizens of Bell County.

A special thank you to the Three Creeks community, event organizers, and all the families who welcomed our firefighters throughout the night. Your hospitality, conversations, and support made the evening a tremendous experience for our members!

🚒 From emergency response to community outreach, Central Bell County Fire Rescue is proud to serve our neighbors both on and off the fireground.

🚒 Keeping Up With a Growing Community!

This afternoon, members of Central Bell County Fire Rescue were out in the Three Creeks community conducting hydrant mapping and flushing operations.

Our crews spent the afternoon going hydrant to hydrant throughout the newly developed Phases 9 & 10, mapping new hydrant locations and becoming more familiar with the continued growth of the neighborhood.

As Three Creeks and the surrounding areas continue to grow, so does our responsibility to stay familiar with new streets, homes, and available water supplies. Work like this may happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in helping our firefighters respond quickly and effectively when our community needs us.

You may have seen our crews and apparatus around the neighborhood today — we appreciate everyone’s patience while we completed this important work!
