CENTER UPDATE: We're ALMOST Ready to Welcome You Back!
Until we reopen, there will be no activities, programs, or greeters at the Center. However, Information & Assistance, Boone County Transit, and In-Home Care services will continue as usual.

If everything goes according to plan, activities, programs and Lifescape Community Services, Inc. meals will resume Thursday, October 1. We can't wait to welcome everyone back to our refreshed space!

🔨 Renovation Update!

We’re making some exciting improvements at Senior Connections!

From September 21–25, our programs, activities, support groups, and Lifescape congregate meals will be paused while we complete painting and flooring updates.

Still available during renovations:
• Information & Assistance
• Boone County Transit
• In-Home Care

If you normally participate in Lifescape congregate meals, home-delivered meals can be arranged during this time by calling (815) 963-1609.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to create an improved space for our community! Regular programming will resume once renovations are complete.

RENOVATION UPDATE - Due to painting & flooring work taking place we are planning to cancel all programs, activities, and support groups - including Lifescape Community Services, Inc. meals at Senior Connections. during the week of September 21 through 25. If you normally participate in the congregate meals through Lifescape Community Services, Inc. and need a meal delivered during this time, please call (815) 963-1609 and press 1 to make arrangements.

WE WILL CONTINUE to provide Information & Assistance, Boone County Transit and In-Home Care. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We also want to give a special shout-out to Garry's Flooring & Hometown Furnishings and Nova Painting for their excellent workmanship and for helping us give Senior Connections a fresh new look!

Due to reduced waiting space during the building refresh, we ask that you please arrive NO EARLIER than 12:15pm.

Reminder, that there is no need to be here exactly at 12:30pm to register.

Arriving between 1:30-2:30pm will make for an easier shop.

Monthly Senior Food Distribution 🚚

Join us Friday, September 11th from 1–3 PM at Senior Connections for our monthly food distribution, proudly hosted in partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Due to limited availability of rooms, we ask that you please arrive no earlier than 12:15pm.

🕐 Doors open for registration no earlier than 12:15 PM – please plan accordingly!

During the September renovations, we will do our best to continue providing all of our services! We will work around scheduled appointments whenever possible, although some appointments may need to be relocated to a different room. Some programs may also be moved or occasionally cancelled due to construction.

Good news - Boone County Transit and In-Home Care services will not be affected and will continue as scheduled.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we make these exciting improvements to Senior Connections.

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers, Richard Stegemann, Roger Stegemann, Ronald Stegemann, Robert Long, and Darrel Davis, for putting together our new picnic table. We truly appreciate you sharing your time and talents to help make our space more welcoming for everyone!

This project was funded, in part, through a grant from the Boone County Community Foundation. We are grateful for their support and for the volunteers who helped bring this project to life!

Now we are hoping for some cooler weather so everyone can enjoy the pavilion and our new picnic tables!
