The final countdown to the 2026–2027 school year is on!

We hope your family has had a restful and rejuvenating summer.

As many in our community know, Third Street Elementary School was auctioned for sale during the 2025-2026 school year. This cherished building has served our district for over a century—first as Belvidere High School beginning in the 1910s, then transforming into Third Street Elementary School in the late 1930s. As we officially close this chapter, we honor the rich Belvidere history those walls have witnessed and the generations of students who walked its halls. The sale of this building supports our district's budget priorities. We are deeply grateful for the lasting legacy and positive impact Third Street Elementary has made in shaping our community.

As we prepare to welcome students back, we are excited for a new school year filled with fresh possibilities, new ideas, and meaningful opportunities. Thank you for partnering with Belvidere School District. Together, we help our students learn, grow, belong, believe in themselves, and become all they can be.
