Progress Reports

Your Supervising Teacher will have sent home a Progress Report this week, in an email. It’s a screenshot of your very-up-to-date Schoology grades, so should be considered a reliable evaluation of your current progress this semester.

We have lots of check-in time, support time, independent study time built into the weekly schedule, so come and talk to your teachers if you have any questions about getting work done/grades up.

CRHS ANNOUNCEMENT

Month 3 Attendance:

Month 3 Attendance is due Friday, 10/23. We can devote our Advisory class on Thursday to getting Learning Logs, Elective Logs, and any missing work done. If students are done with Learning Logs and up to date with their work, however, we will have a classroom set aside for games, and a room set aside for students to watch a movie (WallE).

Reminder: Coast is a Scent Free Zone

We have both students and teachers who have physical reactions to synthetic smells, perfumes, body sprays, spray deodorants, etc. Please be considerate of others and apply your whiffy stuff for other occasions, not school.

Getting Down to Brunch and Lunch:

Brunch and Lunch minutes are limited, as Bri has to get cleaned up and over to other school sites. That means she might be cleaning up and unable to serve you if you don’t go within the window for that meal. She made a handy chart that shows her meal times, which will be posted in each classroom and in The Center:

Our Charter Theater Booster Club proudly presents: Into the Well! ~ an original rock musical

Once again, it will be an original script written by Janinne Chadwick, which Amber directed and choreographed in 2008 with LPRT (Little People's Repertory Theater) and with our charter in 2019.

This story incorporates fairy tale characters from many different stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Frog Prince, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, and many more with characters such as a misunderstood Giant singing Bob Dylan tunes, punk-rock huntsman, a hilarious Evil Queen and her Runway Models gone awry, and more! Music ranges from motown, funk, pop, punk, and good ole' rock n' roll hits.

Community Building at Coast Redwood during Breaks and Lunch, Revisited:

We are continuing to build connections and community up at Coast Redwood. It’s been amazing to see the different students cycling through to play ping pong, foos ball, and volleyball games together. Games are unifying!

Also, I wanted to clarify that Coast Redwood High School students are able to visit with middle school friends down at the Charter quad area during brunch and lunch.

The Quad area (on the same level as the MPR and the Charter Office) is totally open for connecting with previous classmates, getting food in the MPR, visiting the Library (there are games in there for playing!), joining students playing four square, or sitting on the picnic benches under the Solar Panel shade structure. Let's keep our visits to that middle Quad area, as the lower field area and playground area has supervision for TK-8th grade students. Thank you!
