Our hearts are broken.

Today, our entire community is grieving. Our hearts are with the students, families, teachers, and staff of Silver Rail Elementary, and everyone whose lives have been touched by this tragedy.

Bend-La Pine Schools is a valued partner, and its students, educators, and families are our neighbors, friends, and part of the fabric of our community. We stand alongside them and all of Bend as we grieve together.

A fresh catch has arrived at both ReStores! 🐟 Our artistic volunteer John created a new display for Maya’s Lumbar Fish in Bend, and you’ll also find them behind the cash register at the Redmond ReStore.

Retired art teacher and fiber artist Maya Hahn turns reclaimed wool clothing, upholstery fabric and secondhand denim into one-of-a-kind fish pillows that double as lumbar support. She donates her time, materials and finished fish to pay it forward through her art. With a minimum donation of $50 per fish, 100% goes to Habitat.

Come find your favorite, for your own chair or as a gift!

We have something to celebrate! 🙌 Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity made Oregon Business 2026 list of the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon, earning No. 21 in the medium organizations category!

This recognition spans the entire state, and employee feedback helps determine who makes the list. That makes it especially meaningful to us.

Thank you to our team for supporting one another and bringing so much care to our work helping Central Oregon families become homeowners. We’re proud to share this recognition with you! 💙

Fifty years of building homes, communities, and hope, with much work still ahead.
Our team recently returned from Habitat for Humanity conference in Atlanta, held during Habitat’s 50th anniversary year. The gathering offered a chance to reflect on what people can accomplish together and the responsibility we share to keep this work moving forward.

For Bend-Redmond Habitat, there was plenty to celebrate. We were honored to receive the Malachi 3:10 Award, recognizing at least $500,000 in lifetime contributions through Habitat’s tithe program to support housing internationally. This milestone reflects a commitment connecting our work in Central Oregon with families building better futures around the world.

We were also proud to have our CEO, Carly Colgan, speak at the conference and our Homeownership team lead a session, bringing local experience to conversations with fellow Habitat affiliates.

As Habitat looks toward its next 50 years, we’re grateful to contribute to these conversations and learn from others working toward the same goal.
We return home proud of our team and thankful for the homeowners, volunteers, donors, and partners who make this work possible. There is more to build at home and around the world.
Thank you for being part of it. 💙🏠

We’ll be closed Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

We honor the histories, cultures, resilience, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples, including the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Northern Paiute peoples of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation.

We invite you to take time to learn, reflect, and recognize the vibrant Tribal communities and sovereignty that continue today.

All Bend-Redmond Habitat departments, including both ReStores, will resume regular operations Tuesday, October 13.

This , we’re sending a big thank-you to Waypoint Hotel Bend! For the second year, they welcomed our leadership team into their meeting space, giving us room to come together, share ideas, and get some amazing work done.

We’re grateful for their hospitality and the way they show up for our team. If you’re planning a stay or looking for a place to bring your team together, we can’t recommend Waypoint Hotel enough.

A little heads-up for a whole lot of appreciation! 💚🥰

Our Bend ReStore donation lane will close at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, instead of 5 p.m. so we can celebrate our amazing volunteers at our volunteer appreciation party.

They give their time, lend a hand, and bring so much heart to this work. We’re grateful for all they do and excited to spend some time celebrating them because our volunteers are the backbone of Habitat!

Planning a donation drop-off today? Please come by before 3 p.m.

Help us show our volunteers some love in the comments! Share a thank-you, a favorite memory, or a little 💙 to help us celebrate them.

🚧 Construction nerds, you’re up.

Take a close look at Bear Creek Village: the truck, the hose, those wood forms…
What’s happening here and what does this step mean for the homes taking shape?

👇 Give us your best guess in the comments. Bonus points if you explain why it matters so the rest of us can casually sound smart at our next jobsite visit.
Hint: We’re looking for a *concrete* answer.

Got a friend who knows everything about construction sites from the passenger seat? Tag them. This is their moment. 🔎
