Please consider taking the Rural Rivers Project's survey about flood response and recovery in Vermont over the last 20 years. This anonymous survey seeks to improve understanding of how flooding has impacted and continues to impact our communities across the area. Anyone who lived in, traveled to, or was connected to someone in Vermont during a period of flooding is eligible to complete the survey.
The survey will take about 6-9 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary and any information you share will remain anonymous. You can skip any question except the initial age-verification (we do not collect data about minors).
This survey is part of a research study led by Dr. Charis Boke, Dr. Sarah Kelly, and Aletha Spang, at Dartmouth College. It is funded by the National Science Foundation's Senior Cultural Anthropology Award and the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR, Award #2446303). We are studying the social, ecological, and technological challenges around, and responses to, catastrophic flooding in Vermont. You can find more information about the project and contact us at the Rural Rivers Project website.
We are also interested to hear more, if you would like to extend your participation in the research project. If you have photos, videos, or stories you'd like share, please fill out your contact information at the end of the survey. This contact information WILL NOT BE saved with survey information - your survey data will remain anonymized.
We use the Qualtrics platform on Dartmouth College's secure servers to collect and analyze this survey.
