We were fired up to host the elementary school for fire prevention week.
Students recieved hands on learning and demonstrations. Including:
🧯Fire extinguisher demonstrations, learning P.A.S.S (pull, aim, squeeze, sweep).
🔌 Safe electrical charging scenarios, fire alarm safety, and learning about the gear we wear and what its for.
💨The students also experienced a smoke room obstacle course and learned how to effectively exit a smoke filled room by crawling and staying along walls.
Once the students blazed through their demonstrations we made a couple stops at a few local daycares and we will top off our great day with the pork chop feed!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Charge into Fire Safety! 🔋⚡
It’s Fire Prevention Week (October 4–10, 2026)!

This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.”

From phones and laptops to e-bikes and power tools, lithium-ion batteries power our daily lives. When charged or used incorrectly, they can overheat and cause dangerous fires.
Use your charging superpower with these quick tips:
• Always use the manufacturer's original cord and power adapter.
• Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces—never under a pillow or on a bed.
• Avoid overloading outlets or cheap replacement chargers.
• Recycle damaged or old batteries properly.

Huge thank you to CVEC (Chippewa Valley Ethanol Co Llp) for their donation.

With that donation we were able to purchase fire safety vests for the department! 🚒

Support like this helps us keep our community safe, and respond when our neighbors need us the most. We truly couldn't do this vital work without community partners standing right behind us.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

2,977 innocent souls, including the 343 FDNY firefighters and all the brave first responders who ran toward danger to save others. Their courage, sacrifice, and the resilience shown in our darkest hour will forever remain in our hearts.

We stand with the families who lost loved ones, and we renew our vow to always remember. 🇺🇸
