โ
Stay calm - Donโt panic or make sudden moves
โ
Check your mirrors - Make sure we can get around you safely
โ
Wait until we pass - Donโt immediately pull back into traffic
โ
Give us space - We need room to maneuver safely
DONโT:
โ Stop in the middle of the road - This blocks our path
โ Speed up - We need to predict your movements
โ Follow behind us - Donโt use us to get through traffic
โ Pull to the left - โก๏ธRight side only, please!
โ Ignore us - Weโre coming to help someone who needs us
Michigan law requires: All vehicles must yield the right-of-way and pull to the right for emergency vehicles with lights and sirens.
Why it matters: Every second counts when someoneโs life is on the line. Your quick, safe response helps us reach patients faster.
โค๏ธโ๐ฉนRemember: Someoneโs emergency could be your family member someday. Help us help them! ๐
