iReady parties at BMS will be happening during advisory this week! Each student will receive a “ticket” for 1 snack. Students can bring additional money to purchase extra snacks.

✖️📚 Math is happening in Mrs. Harris’s 5th Grade Math class!

Our mathematicians have been using Building Thinking Classrooms + thin slicing to practice and strengthen their multiplication strategies. We’re focusing on thinking through problems, explaining our strategies, and learning from one another! 🧠✨

We also made multiplication fluency a little more fun with Square Capture! Students are practicing their facts while working to capture as many squares as they can. ➗🟦

📚✨ Voices, ideas, and a little bit of Wonder!

Mrs. Calaway's 5th grade ELA students shared their writing responses to Wonder with the class today. They practiced reading with confidence, listening thoughtfully, and sharing their ideas about this powerful story.

For Bosses Day today we want to recognize the wonderful administrators that keep BMS running smoothly!

The rest of us definitely could not do it without Mrs. McKell, Mrs. Crosby, and Mr. Rhynes. So when you see them today make sure to say thank you! And we all hope you have the BEST Bosses Day!

ALL BMS 6th grade science classes met their score goal for their Cells CSA (80%). The students were rewarded for all their hard work!
