Water for Good Transforming lives and sharing God's love through sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in the places that need it most.

About: Water for Good is a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to creating a future where no one dies from a preventable waterborne disease. In partnership with local churches and leaders, we help communities establish access to reliable water and critical sanitation and hygiene practices—ensuring sustainable change, empowered citizens, and healthy futures. Our work is crucial because the water crisis is unsustainable, impacting 703 million people who lack access to basic water services. Every two minutes, a child under the age of five dies from a preventable waterborne disease. When 1-in-12 people around the world lack reliable access to safe water and 1-in-5 lack access to a toilet, they also lack the opportunity to truly thrive. Women and children are particularly disadvantaged, often spending hours collecting water that may not even be safe to drink. It affects health, hinders education, perpetuates poverty, and deepens inequality. But together, we can be a source for change that ends the crisis so every child experiences safe water, a healthy community, and God's love.

"This water is killing us." That's how Maria describes the dirty pond she shares with cattle, bathing, and clothes washing — but it's her family's only water source in rural Tanzania. Our team has already visited her community and we know how clean water, improved sanitation, and hygiene could change lives there. 💧

All that's missing is your partnership— click the link in the comments 👇 to help turn that plan into a real water point for her family.

Introducing the Ashe-Hocking Legacy Society, our brand-new way to honor people who plan ahead for water that lasts.

Named for our founders, Bill Ashe and Jim Hocking, it's a new chapter for Water for Good, bringing both of their legacies together. Members are a community of people who include Water for Good in their will, trust, or estate plans, so clean, safe water keeps flowing for villages across Africa and Asia. Water for today. Water for tomorrow. Water for generations. 💧

Members also receive exclusive benefits, from insider updates to special recognition. Explore everything that's included and how to join at the link in the comments 👇

What I tell people who think $18 won't change anything:

I tell them $18 puts a water testing kit directly into a technician's hands — the tool that catches contamination before it becomes an outbreak.

It's not a one-time fix. It's what lets our teams verify a water source is safe today, and keep verifying it, month after month.

Small, yes. But it's a significant thing that keeps an entire community safe long after the water point is built.

Give $18, help keep water safe → https://waterforgood.org/product/water-testing-kit-for-a-technician/

Water for Good is expanding, and the goal is simple: ensuring water keeps flowing for generations. 🌍

With Project SusTAin, we're bringing Technical Assistance to Cameroon for the first time and continuing our work in Uganda. That means instead of building new water systems, we equip local service providers to repair and maintain the ones families already depend on, because safe water should last for years to come, not just until the next breakdown.

In rural northern Cameroon, only about half of people have access to even basic safe water, so keeping existing systems running matters. Together, that's 225 systems (104 of them in Cameroon) and 800,000+ people. 💧

Read the full announcement and see how Project SusTAin gets us closer to serving 2.6 million people at the link in the comments 👇

Mental health is heavily impacted by environment—things like having basic physical needs met, safety, security, and human dignity.

Debela, a father in Ethiopia, felt a heavy toll when those essentials were missing. His wife was frequently sick from dirty water, eventually becoming isolated and deeply depressed under the weight of it all.

When their community gained access to clean water and sanitation, resources they now own and can rely on for decades to come, she was able to regain her peace of mind.

World Mental Health Day is a reason to reflect on the foundational needs around us and how we can meet them. Public health is interconnected: when basic physical needs are met, it restores a sense of safety and security, paving the way for true stability of mind. 💙

Happiness just wanted what every child deserves: school, friends, a future.

An accessible latrine made that possible. Because every child reflects the image of God, and no one should be overlooked — not in the classroom, not anywhere.

Give today to help make this possible for more kids like Happiness → waterforgood.org/donate

We all have a birthday, but not all of us use it to change the world. 🌍 You can create meaningful change by setting up your own birthday fundraiser.

Instead of the usual gifts, ask your friends and family to make a donation in your honor, and join you in bringing clean, safe water to communities in need.

Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Rallying your community around your special day is a powerful way to put that into practice.

When it comes to lasting water access 💧, true sustainability means local ownership.

That's the essence of a community handover: when a project is complete, the community takes it from there. They have the training, local leadership, and tools 🛠️ to keep their systems working for years to come.

True sustainability starts when communities have the full power to maintain their own future. That's the Water for Good difference.
