Happy Pride Month from our NCLT family to yours!đĄ
This month and every month, NCLTâs mission focuses on cultivating belonging in our neighborhoods. Grounded in the belief that housing provides stability, NCLT believes that affordable housing is key to creating a foundation for community, chosen family, and vibrant culture. We continue to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, a cornerstone of the rich history and evolving culture in the Bay Area.
HAPPY PRIDE!!!

Photos from NCLTâs Resident Happy Hour at Oaklandâs own Two Pitchers Brewing Company! đĄ
We had the privilege of hosting many of NCLTâs homeowners, co-op owners, and commercial tenants as a part of our stewardship program. We were able to connect face-to-face and distribute emergency and community resources. Weâre already looking forward to our next resident convening!

NCLT wishes a happy Black History month to all of our community members!
This Black History Month, NCLT wants to acknowledge the role that Black history plays in the origin of community land trusts. Born out of the Civil Rights era movement for Black land ownership, the very first CLTâNew Communities Inc.âaimed to achieve economic stability amidst racist gentrification and displacement. As we continue our work of providing permanently affordable housing, NCLT continues to connect our mission back to the Black legacy of CLTs.

IT WAS A SUCCESS!
Last Friday, we had our annual fundraiser, âBuilding Power, Building Homeâ at the David Brower Center. It was a packed evening filled with community and collective power. We were overjoyed to see nearly a hundred of you show up for your NCLT community!
If you missed it, we were honored to virtually hear from State Senator Jesse ArreguĂn, in addition to NCLTâs Executive Director Asn Ndiaye and NCLT CalHome recipient Jesus Villareal. They all spoke on the importance of community-led affordable housing across CA.
A massive thank you to everyone who came and our sponsors: Community Planning Collaborative, Community Vision, and Partnerships with Purpose.
