Operation Ladybug continues.....Berkeley Officers intercepted an armed drug dealer overnight, and he is currently sitting on a $30,000 bond at the St. Louis County Jail. Another good job by the good guys!
As part of Operation Ladybug, we have partnered with the Salvation Army, and we are sharing information from the United Way's 211 program to help anyone with drug addiction. The Salvation Army truck can be found at the shopping center in the 8600 block of Frost on Thursdays around lunchtime. Need help? Call 211.

The Berkeley Police Department proudly supports Breast Cancer Awareness month. To the women who have fought and are still fighting this terrible illness, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Free or low-cost breast cancer screenings in the St. Louis area are available through programs like the Siteman Cancer Center Mobile Mammography Van and grants from the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

Today we hosted Rainbows for Kids at Ramona Lake in Berkeley for some fishing fun!!! Chief Runge, Sgt. Cherry, Det. Rekart, Cpl. Brown, Officer Morley, and Officer White welcomed families and their amazing children to spend some together. Fun was had by all. We are still investigating if it was the cops teaching the kids to fish, or the other way around!! Either way, it was a wonderful day.
The men and women of the Berkeley Police Department will always keep those children, their parents, and siblings in our prayers as they continue to fight against cancer.
Thank you to Sally and Rob Rains for everything!!
For more on Rainbows for Kids, check out their website, www.rainbowsforkids.org
Thank you to the Berkeley MO Fire Department for showing off their beautiful fire trucks, and for spending time with the kids too!
