Renovation Spotlight: A library that’s safe from the elements

Renovation plans start from the top of the building and call for a replacement of the library’s 54-year-old roof. Rooftop heating/air conditioning units will also be modified and/or replaced during the process to ensure a safe, comfortable public space.

New Roof & HVAC Updates
-Complete replacement of roof
- Update to current building codes, adding approximately 6” of insulation
- Upgrades to HVAC systems, improving performance and efficiency

Renovation Spotlight: Giving children a place of their own
A major component of renovation plans is the development of space on the lower level of the library to create a dedicated home for Youth Services. All children’s materials will be relocated to this new space.

Youth Services Space
- Provides a dedicated space for children to learn, explore, and play
- Lower level, southeast corner of building
- Approximately 1,750 ft2
- Integration of story time/programming space
- Child-friendly seating, display fixtures, and interactives
