Smile being a Scholastic book reminds me (Angel) of how sad it was being a kid taking the Scholastic Book Fair catalog home to mom and being told “these are too expensive.” I’m sure they were! My parents always worked full time and I never went without, but there wasn’t room for spending $ on new, amazing books.
Now, I just found out about the Share the Fair program on Scholastic’s website. Contributions can be sent to schools so that more kids get to take home books. I don’t know when the giving program started, but I’m so glad it exists today 📚❤️
