Last week, during Fire Prevention Week, Berlin Township Fire Department had the pleasure of visiting Edison Elementary School and the Berlin Heights Community Center.

Our crew enjoyed teaching the kids about fire safety, what to do in the event of an emergency, and the always popular up-close look at our fire trucks. Thank You to the Wightman-Wieber Charitable Foundation for your generous support which allowed us to purchase an amazing inflatable Fire Education House. This allows us to easily educate and engage children of all ages to teach the importance of fire safety and prevention. And as always, Thank You to Milan Township Fire Department for once again collaborating with us to provide these opportunities for our communities. Also, the EHOVE seniors enrolled in the Fire and EMT Program assisted us and brought Sparky along.

We have now entered a time of year where a lot of vegetation, and crops are very dry. Because of this the statewide burn ban between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm is in effect until November 31. Thank You all for your cooperation with adhering to this ban!!
