🧩💙 One of our favorite spots in the Center is our Puzzle Table! 🧩✨

It’s the perfect place to slow down, take a break, and enjoy a little puzzle time. Whether you like working on a puzzle on your own or teaming up with others, there’s always room at the table! 🤝😊

And of course, once we finish a puzzle, we always take a photo to celebrate our accomplishment! 📸🎉 Every finished puzzle is a little reminder of the fun, teamwork, and memories made along the way. 💙🧩

📚 Community Outreach – Connecting Residents with Resources! 🤝

On Thursday, October 1st, the Berlin Peck Memorial Library hosted our Community Outreach Presentation, bringing together town staff to share information about the services and resources available to Berlin residents.
Representatives from Fire, Police, Senior Services, Parks & Recreation, the Library, Town Clerk, BOE, CCHD, Town Manager’s Office, and Mayor’s Office shared helpful information and answered questions. 🚒👮‍♀️📖🏫

This was the second presentation we’ve held this year, and once again, there was something new to learn! 💡

Thank you to everyone who attended and to all the departments who helped make this a valuable evening for our community. ❤️

You always walk away with new information!

🍂 Goodbye National Senior Center Month, Hello October! 🍂

As we wrap up National Senior Center Month, we’re celebrating the friendships, fun, and connections that make our Senior Center so special! ❤️

October is packed with activities and events, and there’s something for everyone! 🎉 Here are just a few of our weekly activities:
💪 Exercise for Wellness – Tuesdays & Thursdays
🥁 Cardio Drumming – Mondays & Wednesdays
🧶 Knitting Group - Wednesdays
🧵 Swedish Weavers - Thursdays
🀄 Mahjongg - Wednesdays

And that’s just the beginning! These are only a few of the many activities and programs offered throughout the month. 📅✨

Come join us, try something new, stay active, make friends, and enjoy all your Senior Center has to offer! 🍁😊

Hi, this is a special invitation to all Berlin residents!

Do you know your town? And do you know about all the resources, programs, and services that are available right here in our community?

Tonight at 5:30 PM at the Berlin Public Library, come join us for our Community Outreach Presentation and learn more about your town and the people and departments here to serve you.
Representatives from the Town Manager’s Office, Mayor’s Office, Fire Department, Police Department, Town Clerk, Board of Education, Central Connecticut Health District, Library, Parks and Recreation, Senior Services, Social Services, and Berlin Visiting Nurses Association will all be there to answer your questions, explain what they do, and help connect you with the right resources.

Whether you’re new to town or you’ve lived here for years, I promise you’ll discover something you didn’t know was available to you. I’ve lived in Berlin most of my life, and every time we do this presentation, I walk away having learned something new!
So come out tonight at 5:30 PM at the Berlin Public Library. Bring your questions, bring your curiosity, and come learn more about your town and everything it has to offer.

We had a wonderful time at our recent Nutrition Label Talk with Kellie Gilbert from Health Unhinged! 👏😊

🧾 The Packaged Deal: Nutrition Facts & Claims gave us helpful tips on:
🔎 Reading and understanding Nutrition Facts labels
🛒 Navigating ingredient lists
⚠️ Decoding tricky health claims on packaged foods
🍯 Learning about different types of sweeteners
🥑 Exploring fats, carbohydrates & protein sources
📊 Understanding our individual nutritional needs

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the foods we eat and how to make more informed choices when navigating the grocery aisles! 🛍️🥕🍎
