October 18-24 is Friends of the Library Week! We want to take this opportunity to thank our Friends.

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our library. They raise funds for special programs and services, run the book sale, sponsor museum passes, and advocate for the library.

Thanks to their support, we have been able to provide the community with a wide range of educational and cultural experiences.

🥳 Something new is happening at the library! 🎉
The Makerspace is open! It's a hands-on space where you can build with LEGOs or MagFormers, make stickers and buttons, program Ozobot robots, and work on all kinds of craft projects. We even have a 3D printer! Send us your design and staff will print it for you.
A few things to know:
• Appointments are required (hours and booking are on our website)
• A completed User Agreement is needed before your first visit
• Ages 12 and up may use the space on their own. Ages 6–11 need an adult with them.
• You'll need a library card from a Connecticut public library

A quick update for those who use Facebook to keep up with library events: Facebook has recently changed its rules for Pages like ours. We now have a limit of just 2 posts per month that include an outside link - like links to the newsletter and to library events. That means we can no longer share reminders for upcoming events. We will still post the monthly newsletter here on Facebook, as well as creating Facebook events and sharing photos and other news, but we encourage you to sign up for the monthly email newsletter so you don't miss anything!
