Today, Sandoval County Fire Rescue responded to a working residential structure fire. Upon arrival, crews found the fire burning in the attic space. Despite the efforts of responding personnel, the home sustained significant damage and was considered a total loss.

Responding units included SCFR Stations 41, 44, 51, and 65; SCFR Command; Jemez Pueblo EMS; Sandoval County Sheriffs office, NMDOT and the San Ysidro Marshal.

Thankfully, no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. We appreciate the coordinated efforts of everyone who responded.

Members of SCFR participated in the Denver 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb this morning to honor the 343 Firefighters who lost their lives on this day 25 years ago. It is our duty to ensure that their legacy and memory live on, and that our younger members understand the sacrifices made that day.
