Another Hero Softball Game has come and gone, and once again we are left completely speechless by the incredible support shown—not only for Bernard, but for the local heroes who make our communities stronger every single day.
Tonight was truly one for the books. From Raymond Martin throwing out the first pitch, to the University of Iowa AirCare helicopter flying over to honor our heroes, to the amazing teams Key West Community Fire Department , Cascade Volunteer Fire Department , Bernard Fire and Rescue, La Motte Fire & Rescue Department, CENTRALIA-PEOSTA FIRE DEPARTMENT, Epworth Fire Department, families, and community members who showed up with so much heart—this event was something special.
A huge thank you to every player, volunteer, supporter, and everyone who helped make this night possible. Thank you to Joey V Music for the amazing music, Delaney's Ice Cream Shoppe for your yummy ice cream and support, The Butcher Block:Cascade for donating over 300 burgerd(they were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G) and donating your time grilling them up for us all night, and the people's favorite ump, Todd Noonan!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are already looking forward to next year’s Hero Softball Game! ❤️⚾
