Hi All,
Happy Halloween weekend! I hope everyone has a fun and safe time trick-or-treating. Please keep an eye out for little ghosts and goblins on the sidewalks and crosswalks.
I also want to let you know that the Budget Committee will hold budget meetings next Wednesday, November 4 and Thursday, November 5 at 5:30 PM at City Hall (6700 W. 26th St.). We'll be hearing from:
- Building Department: reviewing how the new permit fee structure has affected revenue
- Information Technology: making sure its expanded budget makes sense
- Police and Fire
- Public Works
These meetings are open to the public, and I encourage you to attend and see how your tax dollars are being planned.
Our initial participatory budgeting meeting for 2027 will be held on Saturday, December 5 at 12:00 PM at the Joe Vallez Activity Center, 1529 Harlem Ave. This is your chance to help decide how ward funds are spent, so bring your ideas!
I'm also looking for suggestions on where in the 8th Ward we might add some mini murals. If you know of a utility box, wall, or corner that could use some color, please reach out!
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thanks,
Joe

Hola a Todos,
Escucharemos a:
Gracias,
Joe
