Flint Ridge Ranch DRAFTS WITH FLASH! Specializing in American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft & Stonewall Sport horses

In 2012 Flint Ridge Ranch, formerly Flint Ridge Farm of Amherst, Ohio, shifted its focus from producing quality endurance Quarter Horses to helping in the revival of the rare and nearly extinct breed of spotted drafts known as the Sugarbush Draft Horse or Harlequin Draft Horses. Our program is based on the recent acquisition of Sugarbush Harley's Classic O, the last stallion bred by Everett Smith, founder of the Sugarbush breed. O is the only stallion of the famous stallion Sugarbush Harley Quinne, Mr. Smith’s crowning achievement in his breeding program! For more information about the rare breed visit:www.sugarbushdrafthorses.comwww.facebook.com/sugarbushharleysclassico

We along with 16 other neighbors spoke from our hearts and the State listened to extend the public comment period to this Friday.
Please, everyone!
Call and leave a quick message.
Help us save this area from destruction.

While there were seventeen speakers present, all opposed approving the air quality permit. Watch the full hearing and read the article here: https://wisenewsnetwork.com/stories/residents-push-back-against-carolina-lithium-air-quality-permit-at-ncdeq-public-hearing,5514

Our decade of defending has brought us to this day.
Tomorrow, in Cherryville and Tuesday in Dallas there will be meetings that impact Gaston County and surrounding counties.
Your air, your water, your land is under attack by CARPET BAGGERS!
The last “public town hall” this company had, they shut out the media!!!!
They have swindled land, destroying homes, farms and lives of our neighbors.
We suffer the hardships and added costs the actions have brought us and persevere along with the other neighbors.
Now, they have many of those properties listed for sale at commercial rates!
Any hope of a lone citizen to buy is out of the question!
We bought 6 acres across the street to protect the stream and fault line at an escalated price to protect it from careless developers, to find this county allowed a 1.5 acre piece to be split next to that for 2 houses!
$50,000 each for .75 acres with no water, sewer, streetlights or sidewalks where you will wait 30 minutes for an ambulance to arrive is not something we thought we would see when we made the choice to move the ranch to this valley.
That developer destroyed our fruit trees and crops on 1/2 acre and the County did nothing to give us justice!
The machine is gobbling up farms and people and spitting out garbage.
Stand with us and keep them and any other mega industry out of our beautiful rural country.
See you there!

Residents of Cherryville and surrounding Gaston County communities will have opportunities to voice their opinions at two significant public hearings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, October 12–13, 2026. Read more at the link in the comments below.

No one knew how bad it got for the folks up there unless you were there! Please watch this first documentary and support continuing efforts in recovery.
Our ranch is in Northern Gaston County that was hit by the southeastern edge of the storm.
Two years ago seems like yesterday. 2024 was a devastating year of storms starting in January with flooding like we had never had before. Then, tornadoes in May brought down dozens of trees and destroyed our barn. Helene came and we knew we never will ask again “how bad can it get.”
We were very lucky.
