Today we commemorate 25 years since the tragedy of September 11, 2001. We honor the courage of the 343 FDNY firefighters, all the brave individuals who lost their lives that day, and those who continue to battle the long-term effects of the aftermath. The families of all those affected remain in our hearts and thoughts.

We look forward to seeing everyone who will be joining us tonight at the Chicken Bar-B-Que & Tailgate Concert to honor the legacy of those we've lost. We will be selling t-shirts and hosting a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds from tonight's 50/50 Raffle will be donated to the BVFD's Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5K Walk & Run - Bridgeport team to assist their efforts to support our nation's fallen and injured first responders, military, and their families.

The Town of Bethany is proud to recognize the Bethany Fireman's Association with a proclamation designating September 2026 as Bethany Fireman's Association Appreciation Month.

First Selectman Carol Goldberg presented the proclamation to Fire Chief Brent Ciccarelli in honor of the dedication, courage, and countless hours the Association's volunteers give to protect the lives and property of Bethany residents.

We ask all of Bethany to join us in thanking our firefighters this month, and always, for their service to our community.
