Bethany Fire & Rescue Bethany Fire & Rescue is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to our citizens

Bethany Fire & Rescue is a career department with 22 fire personnel that operates around the clock, providing public safety for our citizens out of one centrally located fire station. Some of the services the fire department provides include fire suppression, emergency medical aid, public assists and public education/fire prevention. Bethany Fire & Rescue has automatic mutual aid with the Warr Acres and Yukon fire departments for structure fires, so it is not uncommon to see one of their fire trucks in our city, as we often help one another and also train together. If you have any questions for us or need assistance changing smoke detector batteries, please feel free to contact us at (405) 789-2218. Posting Guidelines:

Residential Fire - 9/22/26
Heavy fire conditions upon arrival, but fortunately the homeowners made it out safely with no injuries. As always thanks to our Bethany PD, Pafford EMS and crews from Warr Acres and Yukon for their assistance. Great teamwork by all involved.

It's a proud moment and very motivating when you see these young firefighters step up and challenge themselves. Firefighter Wilson was 8 months old and Corporal Brigan wasn't even born when 9/11 happened, but they understand the impact that tragic day had on this country and the importance of why we we climb. We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice those first responders made and the innocent victims that perished on that fateful day. Outstanding gentlemen, job well done!

We have received numerous calls from citizens asking if it is now legal to "shoot off" fireworks in Bethany. It is not. Despite the Rocket's Red Glare Act recently put into effect by the state which pertains to legalizing bottle rockets and allowing year-round fireworks sales in some parts of the state, which primarily applies to unincorporated areas in Oklahoma where county regulations govern the sale and use of fireworks, this new act does not change existing bans or current ordinances in certain communities. The City of Bethany as well as the City of Warr Acres and the City of Oklahoma City are those communities that still prohibit the purchase and use of fireworks in their respective city limits. We want to remind citizens that it remains illegal to purchase, sell or "shoot off" fireworks in Bethany and is a finable offense. Please check your local city ordinances before purchasing and using fireworks and have a safe and Happy Independence Day.

Backyard fireworks aren’t just risky; they can scare our furry friends. The loud noises and bright lights can make pets anxious or even cause them to run away. This , keep everyone safe (including your pets!) by enjoying a professional fireworks show instead.
